Picket
Fences Divorce Recovery Ministries, Inc. is pleased to announce its first ever
Virtual Book/Bible study. This will be conducted via conference call on
Thursday nights at 9:00 pm EST/8:00 pm CST/7:00 pm MST/6:00 pm PST. The call
is free…the only charges that apply are what your local long distance carrier
charge. Most cell phone plans, however,
come with unlimited long distance, so hopefully this will not be a problem.
What: Healing
Within The Storm
book/Bible study about healing when we are going through life’s storms
When: Thursday evenings at 9:00 pm EST (8:00 pm CST; 7:00
pm MST; 6:00 pm PST)
Sessions begin Thursday, February, 16, 2012 and will continue every Thursday until mid or
late April 2012

How: The number to dial is: 218-486-1616 with the access code: 144007.
You will be prompted to put in
the access code followed by the # key. You will be asked to give your name and
then you will be asked to press the "pound" key (#) on several
occasions to enter the conference call.
Materials needed: The purchase of the book is
strongly recommended, as it is in workbook format with discussion
questions. For the month of January,

This
is new territory that we have never tried before at Picket Fences. I know that many of you have limited funds
and may be unable to purchase the book.
Participation without the book purchase is possible, but you will not
gain maximum benefit since the discussion will revolve around the text. If you do not have the book, please....please...do not let this stop you!! Come and join us. It is perfectly OK to arrive late. It is a good study. Honest. Update, 2-24-12: The first two sessions were excellent! I do encourage you to attend this coming Thursday.
Since
the number of callers is limited, we strongly encourage you to sign up

My apologies for being a tad "lax" in updating the PFDRM announcements. I noticed that the most recent announcement was made in January. Since January, we have adjusted our chat schedule: Thursdays: 9:30 pm EST/6:30 pm PST
Fridays: 9:00 pm
EST/6:00 pm PST
Saturdays: 8:30 pm EST/5:30 pm
PST
Sundays: no set time, but feel free to drop in and
hang out
(during summer months)
Mondays: 8:30
pm EST/5:30 pm PST
Tuesdays: 1:00 pm EST/10:00 am PST
new!! If there will be a "set" topic for the evening, it will be announced via a broadcast email to all members of our social network. If you
arrive late to the chat session, that is OK....just jump right in. Dress is
casual...come as you are! I know that these times are not condusive to
everyone's schedule, so If there is another time that would suit you better, by
all means send me a message and something can be arranged. If you have any questions concerning the PFDRM chat sessions, refer to the Q & As below. If you still have a question or do not find your answer, please Contact Us and we will answer your question as soon as possible. Why are the chat times so early for the West Coast? Good Question. These times are not set in stone. If there is a time that would work better for you, please l et me know and I will set up a more convenient chat time.
What if I show up late? That's OK. These times are "floating" times, meaning you may show up at 9:26 and someone else may show up at 10:10. You may stay as long as you would like.
How do I access the chat room? Another great question. To access the chatroom, you must go to our social network. You must first be registered on the network to use the chat room, but registration is easy and free. When you log into the network page, you are automatically logged into the chat room. You may access the chat room by using the "chat" tab that is on top of the page.
When I go into the chat room, people are already chatting. How do I join in? I know that our mothers taught us that it is rude to interrupt, but in the world of chat rooms, it is perfectly acceptable to jump right in and say "Hi!"
Are there set topics? Usually there are no set topics. Most of the discussion centers around divorce recovery, which could encompass many areas: children, money, depression, spirituality, etc. The only thing we ask that you not do is to be rude, IE: potty mouth, flaming, being nasty, lewd, or mean-spirited.

OK...so I did not post our December chat schedule. Please accept my apologies. Due to the holiday season and increased stress and depression it often brings, we have expanded our chat scheduled and plan to use this schedule indefinitely, depending on user demand.
