Greetings from Debby: God is the real founder of the Picket Fences Divorce Recovery Ministry. It was nothing special that I did. I only answered the call, 8 years ago. All the glory goes to God. Picket Fences is not about me! Picket Fences wouldn't be here, if it weren't for the many divorced Christian women, who come to us seeking healing, fellowship, support, and prayer. They are the ministry! Not me! I did not start Picket Fences to sell a book. There are no paid memberships to join. No fancy professional picture of me. It's not about me! My Story: I love my Heavenly Father. After my 22 year marriage ended in divorce, He gave to me, the gift of loving divorced women unconditionally so that I could encourage and equip them to be as HE sees them to be. Loved and Forgiven. In 2003, my 25 yr old son passed away unexpectedly. While divorce grief doesn't come close to losing a child, God gave me a larger compassion for those who grieve divorce and other losses from life.
